You never forget where you came from…

Ohio born and raised, Brit Steiner is ready to serve the state’s 49th District (Canton, Jackson Township, and parts of Plain Township).

Hardworking and passionate, Brit grew up surrounded by the beauty and grit of the Ohio Valley and worked hard to become the first in her family to graduate from college.  Post-degree, she spent more than fifteen years as a diplomat and public servant, faithfully serving under four U.S. Presidents, and managing programs and policies that strengthened our national security.

Throughout her career, she has built and led programs to drive economic development, promote environmental stewardship, enable energy, agriculture and food security, fund public health, and alleviate poverty – significant experience that she is ready to put to work for the betterment of the 49th District.

After moving back to Canton to raise their children, Brit focused on her responsibilities as a stay-at-home mom, channeling her years of experience and her passion for change into her efforts as a community volunteer.  She’s now ready to use her energy and expertise to fight for the needs of the District, and to ensure it’s a place where her children - and others across the country - want to raise their families.
